Abstract
Piles are used as foundations for buildings, bridges, and transmission towers. In urban environments, due to the inability to use conventional driven piles, drilled piles, which have a lower bearing capacity than driven piles, are usually used. One of the common methods of increasing the bearing capacity of drilled piles is the use of grout injection at the pile tip. No research has been conducted so far on the behavior of post-grouted pile groups near the slope. This research investigates the behavior of post-grouted pile groups near a sandy slope using the finite element method and PLAXIS3D software. The study modeled a 2x2, 1x2, and 1x3 post grouted pile group with diameters of 1, 1.5, and 2 meters, buried length to slope height ratios of 0.33, 0.67, and 1, and pile spacing of 3, 4, and 5 times the pile diameter. The results showed that the post grouted process reduced the tilting of the pile group, and by increasing the distance of the piles and the diameter of the piles, the BCR coefficient increased. The effect of the post grouted process on increasing bearing capacity and decreasing tilting of the parallel linear pile group of the crest of slope was more significant than that of the linear pile group perpendicular to the slope crest.
